Our Story
THE PASSION FOR PIZZA

Herb n’ Lou’s has always been a place where West Branch gathers, but for owner Teri Hazelwood, it is also the place where she grew up. She first walked through the doors at 13 as a young employee, never imagining she would one day carry the keys to the restaurant that shaped so much of her life. After years of working there on and off, she purchased Herb n’ Lou’s in 2016, bringing her entrepreneurial spirit and deep love for her hometown full circle. In 2024, she took another major step by purchasing the building itself, a historic downtown property with three apartments above the restaurant, further rooting her family and the business in the heart of West Branch. Today, the restaurant is a true family affair. Her kids, Emery and Ava, work right alongside her, and the staff she has built over the years has become an employee family that keeps the place running with heart. What started in 1988 as a quirky Hoover-inspired pizza joint has grown into a community hub known for great food, local events, and the kind of warmth that keeps people coming back. As Herb n’ Lou’s continues to evolve, Teri is committed to honoring its history while dreaming up what comes next for the place that has always felt like home.
